EvoDis® samples have been put in a series of tests at High Voltage Laboratories of Istanbul Technical University as a part of MTO's R & D studies on EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System. The main goal in these tests are to evaluate the reactions of the EvoDis® models against lightning strikes generated in the laboratory. During these tests, emission current and voltage threshold levels have been found for EvoDis® System to operate properly and also a comparison made between EvoDis® and typical Franklin Rod as per the high voltage laboratory test standards. Furthermore, 300 lightning bolts at elevations of 2, 3 and 4 meters are applied directly on the setup for a EvoDis® unit, a Franklin Rod and an ordinary object representing any structure in nature. Even when the geometrical position of those sapmles have been changed regularly none of the lightning bolts generated hit EvoDis® sample and the system has proven it's 100% success and this is documented in the test report.
