EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System has been preferred by all three GSM operators in a short time with the 100% success both in laboratory and field tests and applications. Over 100 GSM towers in Turkey which had suffered from lightning strikes many times are now protected by EvoDis® System with zero direct lightning strike on the tower since the date of applications.

EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System is qualified with CE Certificate which represents the production criterias and quality standards for products consumed in European Union member countries.

EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System has been put in a test to determine the resistance of the units against wind parameter. The purpose is to measure the wind load on the units during storm conditions and the results vary from 450 g to 1,5 kg from smallest to largest EvoDis® model.

EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System was put in a field test procedure on a GSM site of VODAFONE. The test tower is located in Bodrum district and lightning situation over that area was tracked by lightning detectors. Test period was determined as 11 months and during this time 48 positive and negative lightning strikes were detected and none of them hit the tower protected by EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System and the result is %100 success.

EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System was put in a field test on two GSM sites of TURKCELL. The test towers are located in Mugla and Isparta cities and lightning situation over Mugla was tracked by lightning detectors. After 6 months of test period, 63 positive and negative close strikes detected and none of the hit the tower protected by EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System and the system has proven its 100% success once more!

16 months period for field test on two AVEA towers located in Kirklareli and Mugla cities is completed with 100% success. During this period; 106 close negative and positive lightning strikes have been observed 0-50 meters to the test sites and none of them hit these two towers protected by EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System.

Research and development process for EvoDis® Lightning Dissipation System is successfully completed. EvoDis® models are now ready for production for different application types. Field tests will be conducted officially until July 2009.

MTO's appeal to Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV) for the support of the project “Lightning Dissipation System" is accepted. With TTGV's support, MTO follows the research and development process with more confident steps.
